FAQs

About Visiting

A Chiropractor in Asheville

If you’ve never been to a chiropractor before, or you’ve never come to our office before, you probably have some questions. We’ve answered a few of the typical questions people ask us before coming to see a chiropractor in Asheville down below.
How often should I see a chiropractor in Asheville?

If you struggle with a worsening condition, we generally recommend coming to our office about three times a week for two to four weeks. We follow this up with a re-evaluation to determine a good schedule moving forward.

Can you go to the chiropractor too often?
If you struggle with chronic pain, two or three trips to our office every week should do it. As your condition improves, expect the number of times you come to our office to lessen to maintain the same results.
Is going to a chiropractor worth it?

Chiropractic care is a noninvasive way to help with chronic pain without medication. You may find that it enhances your mobility and function greatly after just a few visits.

What can chiropractic care help me with?
Seeing a chiropractor in Asheville can help you recover after a serious accident. It can also help treat lower back pain, mobility issues, neck pain, and other conditions that cause ongoing pain, like fibromyalgia.
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can call our office to speak with a member of our staff. We’ll then schedule a chiropractic assessment where you can ask our chiropractor questions and learn more about how chiropractic care can benefit your individual situation.

Verified Patient Reviews

Eighteen months ago I had a sudden, severe swallowing issue causing me to pass out. Thru various other doctors visits we discovered it to be a response from the vagal nerves basically shutting me down momentarily, yet no medical doctor had a clue of what to do to help me. We finally found Dr. Walicki and Advanced Chiropractic Center and after some testing he knew what to do to help me. Using various treatments, supplements, therapies and adjustments he has helped me get back to normal with eating and swallowing and I think saved my life. Dr. Walicki is very highly recommended not only to keep your back straight but to help you with those other nagging issues that other medical "professionals" cannot seem to help with. 5 stars all around.
September 2025, I fell down some steps, and a foot ligament, along with its outer layer of bone, painfully detached. Dr Walicki's thorough exam and x-rays showed that, with very careful, continuous management, the bone layer and ligament could reattach itself in 8 to 12 weeks. If reattachment doesn't happen, then surgery would be indicated, followed by at least 6 months recuperation time. With Dr. Walicki's usual diligent attention and multiple proven types of therapies, at 3 WEEKS post-injury, evidence showed the bone section and ligament were, in fact, reattaching! I'm at 6 weeks post-injury as I write this, and the injury is well on its way to complete healing! Throughout this treatment period, Dr Walicki has been focusing on the injured area of my foot, and also the uninjured foot, both ankles, both knees, and both hips, as my uninjured joints are messed up due to over-compensating for the injured foot. With Dr Walicki's attention to all lower joints, I will very shortly have complete balanced healing. I am very grateful for Dr Walicki and his staff's diligent personal, compassionate attention!
September 2024, Hurricane Helene went through Western North Carolina, where I live. I was highly affected by the experience, as were a lot of people. In one day, I went from sleeping well all night, to only sleeping 2 to 3 hours a night on a continuous basis. Some called this "Hurricane PTSD". As I was already a patient of Dr Walicki, he began to address this sleep issue. It took about 3 months, but then - unlike my friends who were also affected by this insomnia - I began sleeping 6, 7, and even 8 hours a night, as Dr Walicki worked to balance my brain. What a blessing!
I have been a patient for about 3 years. I began going to Dr Walicki shortly after my Parkinson’s diagnosis. I feel that the additional therapies offered by his office has helped to slow my Parkinson’s progression. The staff administering the therapies are wonderful and I have always been treated with high respect and care. Dr Walicki stays in tune with up to date neurological studies and is always thinking about how to best help his patients.
I never thought I would be able to function. Or walk or do outdoor activities. With out major back pain or to the point of. Not doing any thing but lay in bed all day. But a friend was telling me about. Why not try a Chiropractor by the name of Dr. walicki. So I figured I would see what advice.I could get from Dr. walicki I found out he could help me. Walk more normal and function with activities. With out the major pain if not any. And with out surgery but after. My visit I decided to just go head with surgery. And after I had my surgery my back pain. Was still unbearable and I still just. Layed in bed all day so finally. I decided to try what Dr. Walicki first talked about.. And after a few months of adjustments. And Dr. Walicki doing different techniques. I was able to walk better and get back to doing. Normal tasks to get through the day. With out the major back pain. So glad DrWalicki could help me. And Dr. Walicki's staff was so helpfull with me. After going just a few times the people working there. And Dr.walicki all made me feel like family.
I was a patient of Dr.Walicki, and had the (FFM)treatmentsX-Rays,and complete check up.He was very professional, courteous, and friendly. And so was his staff, especially Michelle. The office was clean, and well organized. He answered all my questions, and took his time to fully give me the best treatment needed. And I was given all my records when needed.I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to be evaluated for treatments.
I have received chiropractic care at Advanced Chiropractic Center for around 18 years. Dr. Walicki and his team provide excellent care. This practice uses a whole body approach for treatment and works to treat the underlying cause for the condition, not just a bandaid fix. They offer various state of the art therapies that are research based to combat your pain. Dr. Walicki is also trained in functional neurology which is a key component to every function in the body and a successful treatment plan.
